Privacy policy
This policy explains how Paarl Organics handles personal information for website visitors, customers, and people who communicate with us through email, WhatsApp, or local ordering channels.
Last updated: 26 June 2026
Paarl Organics is a privately run, home-based business in Courtrai, Paarl. We curate organic, health-focused, household, and lifestyle products for local customers.
For purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013, Paarl Organics is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and our direct customer communication channels.
We only collect information that is reasonably needed to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, arrange orders, communicate about products, and provide customer support.
We use personal information to operate Paarl Organics, communicate with customers, manage product availability, process orders or quote requests, keep reasonable records, improve the website, and comply with legal obligations.
Depending on the context, we process information with your consent, to perform an agreement or take steps before an agreement, to comply with legal obligations, or where we have a legitimate operational interest that does not unfairly affect your rights.
Paarl Organics currently uses WhatsApp groups and direct WhatsApp messages as a main communication channel. By joining a WhatsApp group or messaging us on WhatsApp, you understand that your WhatsApp profile details and messages may be visible according to WhatsApp's own settings and group features. You may leave a WhatsApp group at any time.
We do not currently run email marketing lists or SMS marketing campaigns. If this changes, we will provide an appropriate opt-in or unsubscribe process.
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers where needed for hosting, communication, payment, delivery, accounting, technical support, or legal compliance. These parties should only receive information needed for their role.
Some website, email, payment, hosting, or messaging providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards that support protection comparable to South African privacy requirements.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and keep it only for as long as needed for the reason it was collected, for customer support, for record keeping, or where the law requires retention.
The website may use essential cookies or similar storage for security, session, cart, or basic website functionality. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Under South African privacy law, you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, object to certain processing, or request deletion where legally appropriate.
Privacy requests can be sent to info@paarlorganics.co.za. You may also contact the Information Regulator South Africa at inforegulator.org.za, enquiries@inforegulator.org.za, or POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za if you believe your privacy rights have not been respected.
